The Clearing Spa
Until now I have blogged only about Colour and Style, but I have decided to start my own personal blog about the interesting,exciting, dynamic but never dull things that fascinate me or educate or entertain.
So what better way to begin than to share my wonderful birthday treat with you! For some strange reason I had never felt a particular need to visit a spa, in fact finding the time has also tended to be an issue and perhaps that guilt feeling about literally doing nothing!
Well the truth is, I had an absolutely fabulous experience today and would recommend a Spa Day to anyone...even better if it is paid for by your girls!
The idea of starting the day with a game of tennis was quite an interesting one. This is not probably not usually seen as the best form of relaxation, but it was an absolute laugh since none of us could hit the ball or when we did every ball was over the line. We played many games to love and were delighted if we made a rally of three hits!
Pleasantly tired having enjoyed some wonderful sunshine, which has been rare this summer, we headed indoors for a swim in the wonderful pool and enjoyed the added luxury of a whirlpool and steam room. The simple pleasure of discovering the spinner for our swimming costumes added another highlight to the day and then we all trotted upstairs to enjoy either a head, or back and shoulders massage. Now thoroughly relaxed we "chilled out" in the ante room until we were so mellow it was hard to even think about getting up!
Deciding to make the most of the precious sun, we headed off to Pentewan Beach where we ordered some delicious sandwiches from the local cafe on the square to take to the beach. The bonus of free parking created even more excitement, a rare but wonderful little extra and just as well because I used the parking money kept in the car to buy my sandwich!
So thanks to my girls and my sister, I enjoyed a fabulous birthday treat at "The Clearing Spa" at the Cornwall Hotel Spa Estate, Bliss!
